The Dodgers next stop on their east coast road trip takes them to the nation’s capital in Washington D.C., and a three-game series against the Nationals that starts on Monday night.
The Dodgers won their last four road series against the Nationals, dating back to 2021, winning 11 of 13 games in Washington D.C., which includes a three-game sweep last April 23-25. Dodgers pitchers allowed only four total runs during the three games.
Dustin May is tasked with limiting Washington’s offense on Monday night, making his second start of the season. The right-hander struck out six and allowed only an unearned run in five innings last Tuesday against the Braves at Dodger Stadium.
May has never faced the Nationals in his career.
MacKenzie Gore starts the opener for Washington, the second consecutive left-handed starting pitcher faced by the Dodgers and the seventh southpaw opponent in the first 11 games of the season for Los Angeles.
