Authorities have announced the ages of the three children and one young adult who were killed on April 28 when a person struck them with a vehicle in Chatham.
Two 7-year-olds, an 8-year-old, and an 18-year-old were killed, Illinois State Police said in a news release Tuesday morning.
Six additional children were taken to area hospitals, and one remains in critical condition, police said.

Authorities have identified the driver as 44-year-old Marianne Akers.
Akers is not being held by police, due to the crash being under investigation, ISP said.
Akers was not injured but was transported to a hospital for evaluation, according to an earlier release.
“This does not appear to be a targeted attack,” ISP wrote, and that the cause of the crash remains under investigation.
